| Triangle of Technology
Machining Academy opened in 1999 to provide training and employable
skills in industrial machining. The original owners, Harold R. (Al)
Simmons and Bill Spainhour established the academy to satisfy the
need for trained machinists and to offer job placement assistance
to its graduates. They believe that any person that is willing to
apply him or herself to the machining trade can benefit from being
part of a highly skilled workforce. |
|
The school began
by offering a nine month Basic Machining course and a Welding Machinist
course was soon added to
the curriculum. As technology progressed, the need for a Computer
Numerical Control (CNC) and a Master CAM computer course was apparent.
With the addition of these computer scores, soon the program was developed
into a two year program! |

The Information
Technology (IT) Section of Triangle of Technology Academy was established
to satisfy requests for AutoCAD, CNC, and Master CAM computer training.
The six classroom and professional technician lab facility opened
in January 2003 at 1 Pecan Drive in Pensacola. In May 2003, Harold
R. Simmons retired. Dale R. and Chip W. Simmons now own the facility
along with Bill Spainhour. The IT Division of the Academy additionally
provides computer training courses to individuals and businesses by
offering training in computer repair, network administration, web
design, security, office productivity and we deliver Cisco® training
as a sponsored organization of Element K, a Cisco Learning Solutions
Partner, in addition to the AutoCAD, CNC, and Master CAM courses.
In 2004, we added a fully equipped machine and fabrication shop to
deliver real world training to our Manufacturing Technology and Welding
students!
